Job Overview

• Light & Wonder is hiring an Associate QA Engineer to ensure software quality for its gaming products in Bengaluru.
• The role involves rigorous testing, bug identification, and collaboration with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Verify that all software functions as intended through detailed, systematic testing.
• Act as the first line of defense in detecting and documenting functionality issues in games.
• Review bugs, test cases, and create documentation using standard QA processes.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and scripts for new and existing game themes and features.
• Track and update issue status in the bug‑tracking database (JIRA) until resolution.
• Validate live game events to confirm they match design specifications and operate correctly.
• Use debugging, admin, and external tools to diagnose, reproduce, and identify problems.
• When needed, reproduce issues to assist developers in fixing them.
• Generate status reports, documentation, and low‑level reports for supervisors.
• Quickly adjust priorities with minimal downtime.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–2 years of software testing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a positive attitude; comfortable in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and unpredictable situations.
• Proficiency in executing test scripts and reporting feature/game status through scripted and ad‑hoc tests.
• Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional team members.
• Capability to meet tight deadlines and deliver precise, effective results.
