Maserati India has officially launched the updated 2027 Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio models in the country. The latest lineup brings refreshed exterior styling, interior updates, and mechanical enhancements across combustion and electric variants.
Variant-Wise Pricing and Availability
According to the announced price list (Pre-FTA), the pricing structure is as follows:
- 2027 Maserati GranTurismo: Priced from Rs 2.62 crore to Rs 3.14 crore (ex-showroom).
- 2027 Maserati GranCabrio: Priced from Rs 2.91 crore to Rs 3.30 crore (ex-showroom).
Manufacturer delivery timelines have not been announced yet.
Powertrains and Performance
The vehicles are offered in internal combustion engine (ICE) and all-electric (Folgore) versions:
- ICE Variants: The entry-spec 490 variant replaces the pre-facelift Modena. It features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol 'Nettuno' V6 engine producing 490hp and 600Nm. The Trofeo variant pushes out 590hp and 650Nm, marking a 50hp increase over the older model. Both variants feature an 8-speed gearbox sending power to all four wheels.
- Folgore EV Variants: Equipped with a 92.5kWh battery pack and three e-motors (one front, two rear), generating a maximum output of 761hp and 1,340Nm.
Performance figures include a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.9 seconds for the base GranTurismo and 3.5 seconds for the Trofeo. The electric GranTurismo Folgore claims a 0-100kph time of 2.5 seconds.
Safety and Suspension
- Suspension: An air suspension setup comes standard across all models.
- Driving Modes: A new 'Country' mode replaces the previous comfort mode, raising ground clearance by 20mm at speeds up to 120kph. The track-focused 'Corsa' mode remains exclusive to the Trofeo.
- Driver Assistance: Maserati has added a new system to track driver behaviour and fatigue. Other safety specifications have not been fully detailed in the announcement.
Range and Charging
The manufacturer claims an updated WLTP electric range of up to 540km for the Folgore versions, achieved partly through a new system that disconnects the front motor when all-wheel traction is unneeded. Using a 270kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 20 to 80 percent in a claimed 18 minutes. AC charging is supported at up to 22kW.
How to Verify
