Bill Maher Responds to Donald Trump’s Truth Social Criticism

Maher Addresses Public Critique Following White House Visit

Following a recent dinner at the White House attended by political commentator Bill Maher, former President Donald Trump published a lengthy critique of the host on his Truth Social platform. The exchange has highlighted a growing public rift between the two.

Summary of the Claims

According to reporting by *Variety Australia*, the situation involves several conflicting points:

• Trump’s Post: The former president released a post exceeding 1,000 words, characterizing Maher as a "loser" and alleging that Maher had previously requested multiple appearances on his show. Trump also remarked on Maher’s physical appearance during their dinner.
• Maher’s Response: During his HBO show, *Real Time*, Maher dismissed the comments with humor, comparing the experience of dining with Trump to the media narratives surrounding Taylor Swift, noting that the relationship soured following their meeting.
• Specific Denials: Maher explicitly refuted claims that he had called the former president "incessantly," asserting that the communication flow had been the opposite. Additionally, Maher addressed allegations regarding his appearance by presenting footage from the day of the dinner to contest claims about injuries.
