Five-Day 'Maha Yoga Dhyan Kumbh-9' Begins in Rishikesh

Starting October 23, the pilgrimage city of Rishikesh is hosting the 'Maha Yoga Dhyan Kumbh-9' at the Shri Swami Narayan Ganga Ghat, located within the Muni Ki Reti police station area. Organized by the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement, this event is scheduled to run for five consecutive days, concluding on October 27.

Program Details

According to the organizers, the event aims to bring together over 10,000 practitioners from across the globe. Key features of the gathering include:

• Holistic Living: Attendees are provided with guidance on living a sattvic (pure) lifestyle.

Since its inception in 2017, this event has traditionally coincided with Sharad Purnima. It serves as a convergence point for spiritual gurus, meditation practitioners, and community members. Organizers report that this year's attendees represent over 150 cities and 18 different countries.

Local authorities and state officials have been invited to oversee the proceedings. Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister and local MLA Subodh Uniyal is expected to inaugurate the event, while Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also received an invitation.

To conclude the five-day program, organizers have planned a large-scale rally in the city. The primary objective of this rally is to promote awareness regarding a vegetarian lifestyle, with thousands of participants expected to march in support of the cause.
