Jio Introduces New Live TV Plans Aiming to Challenge Traditional DTH Services

Overview of New Jio Live TV Offerings

According to recent reports by technology publications, telecom provider Jio has introduced new live television plans designed to provide digital channels without requiring a traditional roof-mounted dish antenna. The reported offerings target users looking for alternatives to conventional Direct-to-Home (DTH) setups by bundling digital channel access with home connection services.

Reported Plan Details

Based on the published reports, the newly detailed offerings include two primary options:

• Shorter-Term Plan: Reportedly priced at 1,000 rupees with a validity period of 60 days.
• Longer-Term Plan: Reportedly priced at 2,000 rupees with a validity period of 150 days.

According to the source text, both plans claim to provide access to over 1,000 live television channels, including more than 200 high-definition channels. Additionally, reports indicate that subscribers to a Jio home connection may receive a complementary set-top box designed to connect directly to television sets without external antennas.

Practical Implications and Verification

• Elimination of Hardware: The primary reported benefit is the removal of rooftop dish antennas, utilizing internet-based delivery instead.
• Multi-Device Access: Reports suggest that users may view live channels on both televisions and compatible mobile devices depending on the connection setup.

Readers interested in verifying these claims should consult official Jio announcements, customer service channels, or authorized digital service portals to confirm current pricing, availability, and eligibility criteria before making purchase decisions.
