Telangana Recognized as Best Diverse Tourism Destination at IITM 2026

Telangana Tourism Honored in Mumbai

Telangana Tourism was awarded the ‘Best Diverse Tourism Destination Award’ at the India International Travel Mart (IITM) 2026, held in Mumbai from October 29 to 31. According to published reports, the recognition was presented during the travel and tourism exhibition at the Mumbai Exhibition Centre.

S. Prabhakar, District Tourism Officer (DTO) for Hyderabad and Rangareddy, accepted the accolade on behalf of Telangana Tourism. The presentation was reportedly made by Dharmendra Singh, chairman of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI).

Practical Transport and Seasonal Planning

For travelers planning a visit to the region, practical transport considerations include:

• Air Travel: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad connects the state to major domestic and international hubs.
• Rail and Road: Extensive railway networks and national highways link Hyderabad to surrounding districts and neighboring states.
• Local Transit: Public buses, metro systems, and ride-sharing services facilitate navigation within urban centers.

Seasonal considerations generally favor the cooler winter months, spanning from October to March, when outdoor sightseeing and heritage tours are more comfortable due to milder temperatures.

Official Guidance and Verification

Travelers should consult official resources before finalizing itineraries:

• Tourism Portals: Check the official Telangana Tourism website for updated destination guides and event calendars.
• Advisories: Review official government travel advisories for current safety and entry guidelines.
