Performance and Third-Party Testing

While independent testing was not conducted directly by this publication, sister publication Tom's Guide evaluated the exact configuration. Their testing highlighted a durable build, solid display quality, and a battery life exceeding eight and a half hours. However, reviewers also noted potential drawbacks, including pre-installed software bloatware that requires removal, an adjustment period for the keyboard layout, and chassis warming under heavy workloads.

Pricing Context

The laptop has been listed at $649.99 during the current promotional period, down from a $999.99 list price. Observers note that while this represents a significant discount from the list price, the device has previously appeared at lower prices, and upcoming promotional periods like Black Friday could introduce further price adjustments.

Buying Considerations

• Consider purchasing if: You require a versatile convertible device for note-taking and streaming, prefer a metal chassis design, and need hardware capable of lasting a typical workday on battery.
• Consider skipping if: You wish to avoid removing pre-installed software, prefer traditional keyboard layouts, or prefer to wait for potential future discounts.
