Press Information Bureau Reconstitutes Internal Complaints Committee at New Delhi Headquarters

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has issued an official office order announcing the reconstitution of its Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) at the New Delhi headquarters, modifying a previous directive from February 2025.

According to the administrative notification dated May 4, 2026, signed by Deputy Director (Vigilance) Amar Nath, the newly structured committee has been formed to address matters related to workplace harassment in alignment with Supreme Court guidelines and Rule 3-C of the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964.

Operational Guidelines and Terms

• Tenure: The chairperson and each member shall hold office for a period not exceeding three years from the date of their nomination.
• Co-option of Members: The chairperson holds the authority to invite or co-opt other officers into the office proceedings if required by the committee.
• Remuneration for Non-Official Members: Non-official members are entitled to receive such fees or allowances for participating in the committee proceedings as determined by the employer.
